A one hundred year old house turned popular historical hotspot, Dietrich is a funky fresh 20’s themed restaurant and roof-top bar in Mexico City - highly recommended if you’re out and about in the La Condesa neighborhood.
Inspired by Marlene Dietrich, a high-profile singer and actress who starred in movies like The Blue Angel, Morocco, and Shanghai Express - everything from the restaurant’s hall of mirrors, perfectly tuned piano, photo booth, and overall interior-deco screams the roaring 20’s. Other perks of the hush-hush eatery include art shows, exhibitions, and a small lobby on the top floor with a sliding roof to enjoy super fresh cocktails.
Though the restaurant’s chefs alternate every three months, the menu consists of unique dishes that touch on Mexican and Spanish flavors. Chef Pedro Martín from Gastro Bar and Jaleo Polanco took over as Dietrich’s current chef and is receiving much praise for his beef carpaccio, creamy rice, and textured chocolate dessert.
